Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Vanderbilt Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking 1 Certified Nurse-Midwives with acute, high-risk experience for an integrated role in our Maternal Special Care Unit (OB triage) at Vanderbilt University Hospital. The selected candidates will receive a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Advanced Practice. Consideration for full-time or slightly less, if desired (0.7-0.9).
This role will be multifunctional and include obstetric triage, first responder for OB emergency team, oversight and facilitation of morning discharges. Responsibilities will also include teaching of residents, medical and midwifery students. Coverage of deliveries on Labor and Delivery as backup attending is also expected. These positions involve coverage of nights, weekends and holidays in 12-hour shifts (no 24 hour call). There will also be outpatient clinical responsibilities.
