Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Primary Care of Southwest Georgia Midwifery Center is located in Thomasville, Georgia. Midwifery services have been offered in Thomasville for over 40 years. We are currently a three midwife practice and are seeking to expand to a four midwife practice. We offer a full-scope midwifery practice with in-hospital deliveries; our current cesarean section rate is twelve percent. We are responsible for triage, deliveries, rounding and first-assists during cesarean sections. Our office is a modern facility with six exam rooms and lab facilities.
We are supported by highly qualified office staff, a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker and supervision is provided by four board certified OB/GYNS who have a history of working with nurse-midwives. A maternal fetal medicine physician is available for consultation.
We are seeking a board certified Nurse Midwife with one to three years of high risk obstetrical experience who can function independently in both the hospital and office settings. We develop our own call schedules and coordinate time off among the Midwives. The salary is competitive along with an excellent benefit package, including CME time and reimbursement. The position qualifies for student loan forgiveness through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) as well as NHSC scholar placement.
