Office Certified Nurse Midwife Or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner*
*Primary Site will be Worcester Medical Centerwith required flexibility to occasionally travel to our Webster-Milford-Leominster-Westborough offices
The Office Certified Nurse Midwife Or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner provides management of women’s healthcare and their families throughout pregnancy, the post-partum period, family planning and the gynecologic needs of well women from adolescence through menopause. We also provide gynecologic services including annual GYN exams and contraceptive counseling. This position is a Monday – Friday office position only. There are no call requirements, nor weekends or holidays. This team based practice, located at Worcester Medical Center, includes 10 physicians, 9 Certified Nurse Midwives, and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
Perform appropriate physical assessments, evaluation and treatment for obstetrics and gynecological patient base seeking services from the organization
This position will not require intrapartum care for Labor & Delivery care, however it will require OB experience in order to see patients in office for prenatal and postpartum visits
Order lab studies when indicated. Identifies differential diagnosis. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in the history and physical in order to establish a diagnosis. Performs tests and procedures as directed by diagnosis
Establish appropriate plans of care related to patient’s identified problem, including medication, diet, therapeutic procedures, etc.
Implement plans in safe and effective manner. Utilizes sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient’s care and management
Record visits in concise, clear, logical manner
Evaluate needs and/or time for follow-up and documentation
Makes and arranges appropriate referrals when necessary
Evaluates effectiveness of previously implemented medical treatment
Develops and provides educational materials and/or programs to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Minimum 2 years of experience as either Certified Nurse Midwife Or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner required
Bachelor’s degree required
Graduate of an ACNM approved School of Nurse-Midwifery and Certification through ACNM Or an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, Masters level preferred
Must have National Board Certification
Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in Nursing
Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate
Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
