Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Holy Family Services, Inc., in Weslaco, Texas is looking for a new Clinical Midwifery Director!
Clinical Director: Work in collaboration with Operations Director to ensure safe quality clinical services at non-profit free standing birth center. Responsibilities are both administrative and clinical.
Full scope midwifery practice (Back up clinic/call for new-grad midwifery fellows; 50% split of direct patient care with staff midwife)
Monthly meeting with collaborative MD and consulting regarding transfers
Review and creation of clinical protocol and guidelines
Clinic management including oversight/maintenance of vaccine program, hearing screen machine, ordering clinical supplies
Holy Family Services has been serving the women of the Rio Grande Valley since 1984 with a focus on providing care in a God-centered atmosphere. The birth center provides comprehensive prenatal care, labor & birth services, postpartum home visits, initial newborn care, breastfeeding support, prenatal classes. Current volume is at about 10 births/month. True to the original mission, Holy Family accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and has an income based sliding scale for cash pay.
With recently remodeled and renovated buildings, the facilities provide a welcoming and comfortable space to work with these families. On sight housing provides the home for clinical fellows and volunteers and a warm vibrant residential community.
This job is perfect for someone with experience in out of hospital birth and clinical management, and is passionate about providing holistic birth center care to all women...in a warm climate!
Graduation from an accredited nurse-midwifery program
Current certification from AMCB
Current licensure as a CNM
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
At least two years in continuous, full-scope practice, and out of hospital birth experience
Evidence of caring for women supporting normal physiologic birth choice.
Related supervisory or management experience.
High recommendation from all professional references
Spanish Language (Conversational or Fluent) is preferred
