Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Massachusetts General Hospital Midwifery Service is seeking a staff midwife. We are looking for an engaged team player, who is skilled in high volume care, pursues optimum care for the needs of a diverse patient population, is excited by opportunities for teaching and research, and enjoys variety in inpatient and outpatient site assignments.
Qualified applicants should have a master’s degree, eligible candidacy for Massachusetts midwifery licensure, a current AMCB certification, current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) and American Heart Association Provider (CPR) statuses. Will consider qualified new graduates.
About Our Group:
MGH is a Partners Healthcare tertiary care academic center. We serve a diverse, multicultural population and the midwives attend approximately 900 out of the 3750 births/year. The CNMs practice within a healthcare system that provides for consultation, collaborative management, or referral as indicated by the health status of the client. The multidisciplinary team consists of physicians in obstetrics, maternal fetal medicine, and pediatrics, nurse practitioners, nurses, lactation consultants, social workers, and a variety of midwifery, medical, and nursing student learners. Midwives are eligible to apply for Harvard Faculty Status. Our midwifery service provides full-scope obstetric care to women in 3 neighborhood health centers and the hospital-based faculty practice.
We provide the following care:
Inpatient labor and delivery
Ambulatory prenatal care and family planning services
Inpatient & ambulatory triage
Inpatient postpartum service
