| The Women's Health Department of Shenandoah Community Health includes 4 CNMs and 5 OB/Gyns in an integrated practice that provides full scope gyn, prenatal care, and delivery services with 750+ deliveries/year at the nearby WV University Healthcare/Berkeley Medical Center. The Nurse Midwives and OB/Gyns enjoy a respectful and very supportive collaborative relationship. Other staff includes two APRNs and a PA providing additional gyn care, an ultrasonographer, RN/certified lactation consultant, nursing and office support staff. |
Supportive services typical of community health centers include integrated behavioral health, social workers, health education, breastfeeding support group, interpretive services (Spanish, Creole, Virtual and language line), patient transportation. On-site pharmacy, lab, and radiology. SVMS is a multi-disciplinary community health center (FQHC). Opportunity for professional collaboration with our on-site pediatricians, family practitioners, internists, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, pharmacists.
