Certified Nurse Midwife
Emerald Coast Obstetrics & Gynecology
Panama City, Florida
If you are looking for a terrific practice setting along the beautiful Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida, please consider our practice. Panama City, Florida is a midwife friendly community!
We are a large collegial private practice employing 3 CNMs. Our client base strongly desires a nurse midwifery option within the practice. Additionally, our practice includes 7 experienced obstetricians/gynecologists and 2 GYN nurse-practitioners.
We offer a full scope practice that includes antepartum, intrapartum, post-partum, and GYN services. CNMs serve as surgical assistants to practice physicians as needed. CNMs share first-call obligations in rotation with practice physicians. Additionally, all practice providers are expected to participate in practice activities.
We manage over 1,000 births per year. Our hospital has a Level III NICU. We also have a local MFM that we collaborate with to manage our high risk clients. CNMs have had practice privileges at the hospital for more than 20 years and find it a very comfortable and professional environment in which to work. A women's health certification is encouraged but not required for this position.
Our practice has been using Athena Clinicals EMR system for 6 years and Greenway EMR for 10 years prior. We have been under the management of Florida Woman Care for over 6 years. Additionally, the practice maintains a website: www.emeraldcoastobgyn.com
Our benefits package includes an attractive base salary, a generous quarterly productivity bonus, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and reimbursement for CME costs, professional dues, and licensure fees. Additionally, CNMs receive 20 paid leave days each year.
Both CNMs and practice physicians maintain collaborative practice agreements/protocols as required by the Board of Nursing and the Board of Medicine.
We are looking for a CNM with the minimum of 5-10 years experience who can step in and function both independently and interdependently with all members of the practice.
Applicants must hold current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board and meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining hospital staff privileges.
