Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The successful applicant will join our established independent group of physicians and nurse practitioner. Candidates must possess the following qualifications: Master’s degree, graduate of an appropriate and accredited nurse midwifery program, active CNM license and prescriptive license with the state of WA and Federal Drug Enforcement agency, active ACNM/AMCB certification, CPR certification. Skills required include complex problem solving using multiple resources in a manner appropriate to the situation, effective verbal and written communication skills, and experience using a computer, email, and office programs (experience with an EMR is a plus). This position involves office hours as well as 24 hour call shifts with an irregular schedule. Prefer a minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience, including intrapartum experience, as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
Job responsibilities: Provide consultation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and if needed co-management of Ob and GYN patients in accordance with established practice protocol; order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, write prescriptions and medication orders; work collaboratively with other clinicians and physicians; provide in-patient, labor and delivery for hospital-based births, postpartum management and care; communicate with on-call physician as needed; record all appropriate documentation in an EMR system; respond in a timely manner to staff inquiries as needed.
