The CHA Cambridge Midwifery Group is a full scope practice providing care to a high volume, socio-economically diverse, multicultural population. Women may choose to give birth in our Victorian era, AABC accredited Birth Center or across the street in our well established hospital unit. We work as part of a large collaborative OB/GYN practice with 24/7 in-house OB coverage for consultation and collaboration. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated problem solver who is comfortable in both hospital and birth center settings. S/he will have an optimistic outlook and work well with colleagues .
The Director will oversee and manage the Nurse-Midwifery Practice. In this role the Director will create and implement strategic visions and objectives for the Nurse-Midwifery Practice and Birth Center in partnership with the CHA Women's Health and Maternity Services leadership team and Chief, OBGYN. Responsible for Quality improvement initiatives for the Nurse Midwifery practice.
Graduation from an American College of Nurse-Midwives accredited program for nurse-midwifery. • RN and CNM license in the State of Massachusetts • Master's degree in Nursing or related field • Current certification in CPR, NRP, and ACNM • Minimum 5 years clinical experience in hospital and clinic based nurse midwifery practice. • Minimum two (2) years of previous administrative experience preferred including program development and monitoring, fiscal performance and staff supervision. Experience with unionized organization preferred.
