Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Vanderbilt Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking Certified Nurse-Midwives with acute, high-risk experience for an integrated role in our Maternal Special Care Unit (OB triage) and Labor & Delivery at Vanderbilt University Hospital. The selected candidates will receive a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Generalist OBGYN Division. Consideration for full-time (1.0) or half-time (0.5) position.
This role will be multifunctional and include obstetric triage, first responder for OB emergency team, and postpartum rounding. Responsibilities will also include teaching of residents, medical and midwifery students. Coverage of deliveries on Labor and Delivery as first-line attending is expected, as well. These positions will be a mixture of day and night coverage (approx 40% nights) in 12-hour shifts (no 24 hour call).? Weekends (approx 1/3) and shared holiday rotations should also be expected. Highly supportive MD, nursing and administrative colleagues.
The right candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in full scope practice with high risk experience.
