Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Fairhaven OB/GYN is seeking a full-scope CNM to join our practice
Fairhaven OB/Gyn is seeking a full-scope CNM for a full-time position, working 1:4 rotating weekday call and rotating first and second call on weekends, as well as 2-3 days in the office each week. Call days do not include scheduled patients in the office. Salary is based on FTE and level of experience. Benefits include 4 weeks of paid time off, CEU stipend, individual health insurance with option to purchase family coverage, long-term disability insurance, occurrence-based malpractice insurance, professional dues, and 401K retirement fund vested after 3 years. After 1 year of employment there is the option to buy into the birth center.
The midwives attend 32-40 births per month and also first-assist with C-sections. About 1/3 of our births are at the free-standing Goshen Birth Center and 2/3 at Goshen Hospital (Level 1, Baby-Friendly), by patient preference.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge and clinical skill, provide evidence-based care, enjoy teaching and learning, and have a passion for midwifery. Other valuable attributes include a team player attitude and the ability to be flexible. Because of service at the birth center, midwives are anticipated to live in the Goshen area. Prefer that those interested have had some experience (preferably some out-of-hospital but willing to discuss) as this type of work requires a high degree of independence, but new grads will be considered.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment alongside physician, midwife and NP colleagues who care about each other and value the importance of balancing home and work life.
