Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The nurse-midwifery practice at Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC), located on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona, seeks a Certified Nurse-Midwife to complete our team of 8 CNMs, 6 OB/GYNs, and 1 WHNP. We serve a high-risk population and practice in a full-scope capacity, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, initial newborn, gynecology, contraceptive and well-woman care. Midwives also first-assist in cesarean sections. Rotating schedule includes clinic and labor & delivery unit shifts. Midwives staff L&D 24/7, so nights and weekends are required and shared equally amongst the group. The midwives in Tuba City attend 99+% of all vaginal deliveries and work closely alongside their OB/GYNs to preserve a midwifery model of care for even the highest risk patients. In 2018, the primary cesarean delivery rate was 8% (total was 14%) and the epidural rate was 37.5% at TCRHCC. TCRHCC also offers TOLACs and has a high rate of successful VBACs (79% in 2018).
