Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nurse midwifery care delivered to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborn patients. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, collecting and documenting data, managing labor and spontaneous deliveries, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering and interpreting lab work, and prescribing medicine.

Master’s degree in nursing
Current licensure by the State of Illinois as a Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in Midwifery with certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board
Current Illinois controlled substance and DEA licenses
Three (3) years of clinical experience in OB/Gyn with a minimum of one (1) year experience as an APN preferred
