Certified Nurse Midwife – Dean Medical Group —Madison, WI
SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 500+ physician, multi-specialty clinic is actively recruiting 2 part-time (0.5 FTE) Certified Nurse Midwives to join the Obstetrics and Gynecology department in Madison, Wisconsin. The independent Midwifery practice is a part of a large OB/Gyn physician group practicing at various Wisconsin locations. The Certified Nurse Midwives are skilled members of the healthcare team who provide primary health care to women focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, the post-partum period, family planning, and basic gynecological needs.
The Certified Nurse Midwife will also provide inpatient obstetrical care for low-risk patients including labor management, delivery and immediate post-partum care of infants, and management of minor complications as outlined in hospital privileges. They will identify deviations from normal childbirth and consult with, co-manage with, or refer to a physician as appropriate.
Graduation from an educational program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery and Education (ACME).
Successful completion of the certifying examination by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
Active/unrestricted WI RN and CNM licenses required
At least 2 years of full-scope CNM experience
