Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
What You Will Do
This is an exciting opportunity to start a CNM practice at Ascension-St.Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI! We are looking for a dynamic group of 3 experienced CNMs to launch a full-scope midwifery practice, working in collaboration with a supportive and experienced physician group, and an enthusiastic heatlhcare team. .
Delivery of full-scope nurse-midwifery care, practicing within the scope of practice as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) and the state of Wisconsin.
Collaboration with all members of the health care team
.Provide education/counseling to patient and patient's family with respect to pregnancy, childbirth, care of the newborn, contraception, family planning and gynecological care.
Provide care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision-making and the right to self-determination.
Participation as necessary on various department, facility, and organization committees regarding education, practice, and quality.
Participation as necessary on various grant applications and programs.
Provide clinical leadership and expertise in a range of settings, and work with communication and marketing in the promotion of midwifery.
Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
Certified Nurse Midwife licensure from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. .
Minimum of two years full scope CNM experience is required.
