Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Midwifery and/or OB/GYN physicians, the Certified Nurse Midwife manages the medical care of patients throughout the maternity cycle, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum, in both inpatient and outpatient settings and for gynecologic care in the outpatient setting. This includes providing standard obstetric care and counseling for pregnant women and basic primary care for women of all ages, following ambulatory care and inpatient standardized policies, procedures, and protocols regulated by the State of California Nurse Practice Act and TrueCare.

Graduate of a Midwifery Program accredited by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
Completion of or eligible for education as a Surgical First Assistant certification for cesarean delivery.
Availability to work a variable schedule, extended hours and/or weekend/overnight shifts.
