Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program and WHNP Program Faculty
The Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies Department of Advanced Practice Nursing seeks a full-time Educator track faculty to provide expert teaching and professional role modeling in our Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and WHNP Programs. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction within content areas of expertise (including graduate-level core courses), participation in curriculum development, teaching at onsite clinical intensives, evaluation of clinical sites via site visits, and clinical faculty advising for students in precepted experiences. The successful candidate is also expected to participate in scholarship and service activities and maintain current clinical practice as it relates to state law for practitioners.
The Department is seeking a creative, energetic and seasoned faculty member to be part of the graduate nursing programs. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in nursing or related field, certification as Nurse Midwife and/or WHNP, prior teaching experience at the graduate and doctoral levels, excellent interpersonal skills, and evidence of recent clinical practice. Current licensure as an APRN in current state of residence and eligibility for RN and APRN licensure in the District of Columbia is necessary. Academic rank will be offered commensurate with education and experience.
