Certified Nurse Midwife University of Vermont Medical Center Burlington, VT Full-Time
This is a 30 hour per week opportunity which includes weekends and overnight call.
Certified Nurse Midwives are expert Advanced Nurse Practitioners in normal obstetrics and gynecology. They work collaboratively with the physician staff of the Women's Health Care Service, with the responsibility and authority to independently evaluate patients and prescribe treatment within practice guidelines and their delineation of clinical privileges. They are care providers, care managers, and educators who support a variety of students being a part of an academic medical center.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont.
Master's degree in Nursing or Health Related field preferred.
Licensure as Advanced Practice Nurse by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives Certification Corporation.
A minimum of one year's experience in clinical practice preferred.
Seeking a midwife candidate with extensive experience supporting women in the BIPOC community through pregnancy and birth.
New graduate applicants will be accepted.
Please note: Position will be an October 2021 start and is partially grant funded. Should the funding dissolve there is a potential the hours would decrease, likely to 20 hours per week remaining benefit eligible.
This is a grant funded position. This is a bargaining union position.
