If you are a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) who is passionate about physiological birth, here is a great opportunity for you! Three Rivers Midwifery Service, PLLC, a well-established and respected CNM-owned and operated home birth practice in Hampton Roads, Virginia, is looking for a CNM to join our team. We have been serving families in the area since 2017. We offer a family-centered approach with a focus on individualized care, education, client autonomy, and safety in the community birth setting. We serve clients in our Chesapeake office and in their homes within a 1 hour radius. This is an autonomous practice with one full-time CNM who needs help keeping up with the community demand! We work with (mostly) RN birth assistants and generally have a rotation of CNM and CPM students as well.

This is a flexible position that can be adjusted to fit the needs of the right candidate. At minimum, it could be a contractor/PRN position (a few days a month, a few weeks a year), but could potentially accommodate a part- or full-time employee if that is what is desired (or anything in between). New grads with a passion for community birth will be considered and would most likely start with a fellowship-style orientation period of at least a few months to a year, depending on the individual.
