Cape Cod Hospital, located in beautiful Hyannis, Massachusetts, is seeking an Experienced certified nurse midwife to join its collegial team of 5 experienced midwives and 8 OB/Gyn physicians. This busy inpatient service follows a Laborist Model approach.

• Would manage all Labor patients, with daily rounding on labor patients, leading all vaginal deliveries, and first assisting on all C-sections.
• 3-12 hour shifts weekly: 7a-7p or 7p-7a (in unit/hospital for entire shift).
• Will also rotate through the outpatient practice
• A balanced schedule (with collaborating physician backup), supportive staff, quality care, and a focus on provider- patient satisfaction, make this the ideal opportunity to meet both professional and personal needs.

•Minimum one year experience as a certified nurse midwife. (preferred)

•Knowledge of professional nursing theory, clinical practice standards, normal maternal / fetal growth and development, and requirements of nurse midwifery practice. Able to independently seek out resources and solve complex problems.

•BLS

•Documented proof of attendance at Fetal Monitor Course every 2 years.

•Current certification in American Academy of Pediatric Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months of position and must maintain certification.

•ACLS within 6 months of position and must maintain certification
