Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing women’s health practice in Ellsworth, Maine.
The CNM is an independent practitioner with admitting privileges, who consults with, collaborates with, and refers to physician colleagues as appropriate. Qualifications include MSN in midwifery with AMCB certification, NRP and eligibility for Maine APRN licensure.
Details:
- Work collaboratively with a team of CNMs and one OB/GYN in the practice of family centered midwifery
- Enjoy working in a brand-new built OB Unit
- Provide full scope midwifery care to women of all ages during scheduled office hours and through on-call coverage with care provided at multiple sites
- Experience with VBAC, water birth, birth center birth and intermittent monitoring is preferred
- Ability to function as a team player in our dynamic practice is essential
- Ability to First-Assist for cesareans and to perform limited OB ultrasonography is preferred
- Approximately 50% OB and 50% GYN
