In early 1920, a consensus developed among community leaders in Granville County, North Carolina, that a general hospital was needed to serve the community. Three local physicians, Dr. Sam Watkins, Dr. Nelson Thomas, and Dr. Jack Bullock established the small hospital in the town of Oxford.
Today, GHS has expanded its services throughout Granville County, meeting the needs of the community and offering convenient access to medical care.
As Granville Health System moves forward the hospital will continue to deliver new health care technology and expand services throughout the area
