Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking an experienced physician with a passion for clinical care and resident education to join the Department of Family Medicine as a member of the core faculty in the Walter and Irene Baran Schuylkill Family Medicine Residency Program.
About the Schuylkill Family Medicine Residency Program:
The Schuylkill Family Medicine Residency Program is located in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
The 4-4-4 residency program will welcome its third class in July 2024.
This is an unopposed residency with full-spectrum family medicine education focused on treating underserved populations, including a growing Latino population in the region.
We are building an innovative educational program. Our residency design is based upon leading-edge medical education theory and research and tailored to meet the unique needs of the community.
Our sister family medicine residency program in the Lehigh Valley has been honored nationally for relationship-centered care, for educational innovations in residency education, and for pioneering many of the developments underlying the patient-centered medical home.
The selected candidate will split their time between faculty responsibilities (.2 FTE) and clinical hours including precepting time (.8 FTE). This position offers flexibility in scheduling and a potential for more faculty FTE in the future.
We are seeking an experienced physician who will bring new ideas, thoughts, opinions, and skills to the program.
