Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Post-graduate degree from an accredited medical institution.
2. Completion of accredited OB/GYN-residency.
3. Completion of Urogynecology fellowship.
4. Extended knowledge of OB/GYN-related issues.
5. Board-eligible or Board-certified.
6. Active staff status in the Christiana Care OB/GYN Department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
a. Knowledge and skills in the principles and practice of obstetrics and gynecology and urogynecology.
b. Knowledge of departmental patient care procedures.
c. Knowledge of RRC program requirements for obstetrics and gynecology.
d. Ability to oversee and advise resident physicians in their care of patients.
e. Ability to interact on a professional basis with supervisors, peers and other team members.
f. Commitment of support of Joint Commission regulators and to quality indicators in obstetrics and in gynecologic surgery.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Physician will be responsible for the performance of on-site consultation, oversight, and participation in the delivery of urogynecological care on behalf of the Department of OB/GYN. Provide clinical expertise for urogynecological treatment and management.
FTE REQUIREMENT:
Full-time opportunities possible based on departmental needs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Evaluate, diagnose and treat urogynecology problems at Christiana Care Health Services and affiliated community partners.
2. Precept residents, students and specified health care professionals, as appropriate, in the operating room, ambulatory and other sites necessary.
3. Provide clinical expertise for urogynecology disorders, treatment and management.
4. Assist in practice management with the assistance of the Chair of the Department, Corporate Director, and Practice Manager.
5. Contribute to the educational program for residents and medical students in obstetrics and gynecology.
6. Work cooperatively with other members of the division and department in outreach programs.
7. Demonstrate academic curiosity through continued research, publications or contributions to education.
8. Other duties as reasonably assigned.
SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS:
Frequent interaction with resident physicians, faculty physicians, patients and their families and other healthcare professionals.
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:
Provide professional oversight to residents, students, nursing and ancillary staff as relates to patient care.
