Southwest Midwives is a private, midwife-owned practice in beautiful Southwest Colorado. We attend births at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, including waterbirth and VBACs. Our patient population is mixed risk, and we have a strong collaborative relationship with our OBGYN group. The right candidate will feel comfortable in a rural setting (no 24-hour in house anesthesia or OBGYN), have excellent time management and communication skills, and work well as part of a small team. First assist training upon hire. Experienced midwives preferred, but we would consider a new graduate for a 1 year CNM fellowship. Seeking a part time addition to our team that could grow to a full time position in the future. Base salary dependent on experience.
