Serve as midwife on call for private free-standing, physician and hospital affiliated birthing center, performing triage, labor support and management, serving primarily in the birth assistant role, in collaboration with patient's primary midwife or physician provider. Midwife will perform all patient intake and exams, vital signs and fetal monitoring, newborn exam, inpatient postpartum care, and 24 hour postpartum visits. Midwife will also provide primary provider coverage within the birth center as needed, performing deliveries for primary provider patients during PTO/vacation or hospital patient conflict. This is a call-from-home role for a low volume birth center, with 4 hours of scheduled outpatient office weekly, mainly seeing birth center patients
