Allen Midwifery & Family Wellness is seeking a full time certified nurse midwife to join their team in Allen, Texas – just 30 minutes north of Dallas!

Allen Midwifery & Family Wellness was established in 2003 and has the unique position of being the only midwifery practice in the DFW area to offer birth at both the birth center and a local hospital, offering seamless continuity of care.

Details:

• Full scope midwifery care (gynecology, antepartum, labor/birth, postpartum and newborn)
• Participate in group 1:4 call coverage
• Attend birth at both birth center and hospital; first assist in cesarean section (training provided if needed)
• Clinic hours are 9am to 4:30 pm with appointment times ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour
• Flexible full time schedule: 2 clinic days and 2 call days per week (clinic and call concurrent on week days)
• 2- 24 hour weekend call shifts per month
• Guaranteed post call day off

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in nursing (or higher) required
• Graduate of ACNM-accredited Certified Nurse Midwifery Education Program required, along with national board-certification in midwifery.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with prescriptive authority in the state of Texas
• Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications required

Experience:

• One year experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife required, 2 years preferred
• Out of hospital birth experience preferred
• 2 years labor and delivery nursing experience preferred
