Albany Medical College is seeking a third Gynecologic Oncologist to join our Division of Gynecologic Oncology as part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Our Albany Medical Center–based practice currently includes two collaborative, supportive physicians, and we are eager to welcome a colleague who shares our commitment to excellent patient care, education, and service to the community.
About the Division:
Full spectrum of gynecologic cancer care: surgical management, chemotherapy administration, and multidisciplinary treatment
Close collaboration with surgical subspecialists across disciplines for advanced oncologic care
Expansion into Saratoga, with plans to establish services in Glens Falls to increase regional access
Strong departmental support:
Generalists cover most obstetric emergencies (including many cesarean hysterectomies)
Maternal-Fetal Medicine division manages most placenta accreta cases
Critical care–trained colleague supports weekend call (1 in 4 with three oncologists)
Research and Academic Opportunities:
Early development of a clinical trials program with opportunities to help shape its direction
Ability to expand research and clinical offerings for both faculty and patients
Academic appointment at Albany Medical College with opportunities for teaching and mentorship
Qualifications:
MD/DO or equivalent who is board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Board-certified in Gynecologic Oncology encouraged
Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State
Interest in multidisciplinary, team-based care
Enthusiasm for teaching and contributing to academic medicine
Experience with clinical trials strongly preferred
