The Utility Worker position is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced department while making a positive impact on the lives of others. Our Housekeeping staff provides critical support to the clinical staff who save lives each day.
Our hospital, Hershey Medical Center, is a 610 bed Academic Medical Center with a variety of complex services, including a comprehensive cancer center, cardiovascular and heart transplant center, state of the art Women's Health and Neonatal care, nationally ranked pediatric services and Level I Pediatric and Adult Trauma programs.
The Utility Associate is responsible to operate various types of equipment to strip, scrub, buff, shampoo and maintain floors and floor coverings. Remove and replace incandescent and fluorescent bulbs, maintain Venetian blinds, walls and windows. This position requires excellent customer service skills and will provide the opportunity to learn about sanitation and infection control.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma or equivalent required
One (1) month of housekeeping/janitorial experience required.Â
Must score a 75% or greater on a mandatory department knowledge test.
