About NOVA Birth Services
NOVA Birth Services is a well-established, midwifery-led practice serving the Greater Nashville area for almost 20 years. We provide safe, evidence-based, relationship-centered home birth care rooted in the Midwives Model of Care. Our philosophy prioritizes physiologic birth, informed consent, and respectful, family-centered decision-making.
Equally important, NOVA is committed to the long-term sustainability of midwives themselves. We operate within a true team model, where midwives practice with clinical autonomy while being supported by a deeply connected, experienced group of colleagues and dedicated administrative staff. No one practices in isolation here.
Midwives join NOVA because they want meaningful work without burnout, autonomy without isolation, and a professional culture that values excellence, rest, and collaboration.

NOVA operates under a shared call, team-based model, ensuring no midwife carries responsibility alone.
Rotating call schedule
One full week off-call per month, guaranteed
Additional off-call time may occur depending on team coverage
Clinic days are based on individual client load and coordinated collaboratively
This structure supports rest, family life, and professional longevity, allowing midwives to arrive at births grounded, present, and well-supported.
Our culture is built on mutual respect, shared accountability, open communication, and a genuine commitment to one another’s well-being.
